Honda CR-V: Setting the Clock

On models without navigation system

To set the time, press the CLOCK button until you hear a beep. The displayed time begins to blink.

Change the hours by pressing the H (hour) button until the numbers advance to the desired time. Change the minutes by pressing the M (minute) button until the numbers advance to the desired time.

Press the CLOCK button again to enter the set time.

You can quickly set the time to the nearest hour. If the displayed time is before the half hour, press and hold the CLOCK button, then press the R (reset) button to set the time back to the previous hour. If the displayed time is after the half hour, the same procedure sets the time forward to the beginning of the next hour.

1:52 will reset to 2:00

On models with navigation system

The navigation system receives signals from the global positioning system (GPS), and the displayed time is updated automatically by the GPS. Refer to the navigation system manual for how to adjust the time.



EX model and EX-L model without navigation system

 Compass Operation

Next to the outside temperature indicator of the information display, a compass indicates which direction your vehicle is pointed. It indicates eight directions. N: North S: South E: East

 Compass Calibration

If you see ‘‘- -’’ in the direction display when you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, the compass is self-calibrating. The compass may need to be manually calibrate


 DTC 51: Motor Locked

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II). 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS. 3. Test-drive the vehicle. Drive the vehicle at 10 mph (15 km/h) or more, with the engine speed at 2,500 rpm or more. 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC 51 indicated? YES-Replace the VSA modulator-control unit. NO-Intermitt

 Preparing to Drive

You still need to exercise the same care when accelerating, steering, and braking that you would in a twowheel drive vehicle. 1. Make sure all windows, mirrors, and outside lights are clean and unobstructed. Remove frost, snow, or ice. 2. Check that the hood is fully closed. 3. Visual
